The Communications Officer supports the development and implementation of Action Against Hunger Syria’s communications strategy by producing impactful content, managing visibility initiatives, strengthening social media presence, and promoting organizational branding. The role contributes to increasing awareness of humanitarian needs, program achievements, and advocacy priorities while ensuring compliance with organizational communication standards and policies.


Key activities in your role will include

Objective 1: To develop and implement an annual communication plan

Objective 2: To produce communication material

Objective 3: Expand Mission Communications Outputs and Visibility

Objective 4: Coordination and collaboration among communications stakeholders


Do you meet the profile required criteria?
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism or any other relevant field
  • Previous experience in Journalism or in working with NGOs in a Communications role is preferable
  • 2 years minimum experience working in a similar position.
  • Visual Skills
  • Microsoft Office, Good command of digital programs including, InDesign, and video editing, etc.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with social media management are desirable.

Our remuneration package:
  • Contract period: till 31 December 2026 renewable depending on fund & performance.
  • Salary/benefits: According to Action Against Hunger's salary scale and terms and conditions.
  • Duty station: Damascus.
