Action contre la Faim registered in 2021 and responded to natural disasters in previous years. Since 2021, ACF Country Office in Mozambique has provided humanitarian assistance to populations affected by the armed conflict as well as the consequences of extreme climatic phenomena, mainly in Cabo Delgado Province but also, more recently, in Gaza Province in response to floods. Our actions also seek to strengthen the resilience of communities and promote the conditions for longer-term development, in support to the authorities and civil society.
ACF coordination office is located in Pemba (Cabo Delgado Province). Operational Bases in the districts are managed by Field Coordinators and report to the Area Coordinator in Pemba. The Country Director supervises Cabo Delgado Area Coordinator, Gaza Emergency Coordinator and leads a national coordination team based in Cabo Delgado and made up of department heads - support and programme.
Our team, currently composed of 7 international staff and 116 national staff, is running operations of approximatively 6 million euros.

Votre poste et vos responsabilités

Under the supervision of the Area Coordinator, your missions will be as follows :

• Coordinate ACF country strategy implementation at field level- North base.
• Coordinate overall implementation of program at field level.
• Manage the team at field level.
• Facilitate good relationships with the Area and Coordination teams.
• Represent ACF and liaise with regional authorities, UN, NGOs at field and regional level.
• Ensure reporting and communication.
• Security management.

Votre profil

You hold a Master's degree in development, humanitarian aid, international relations or any relevant field.

You have a minimum of two years of field experience in humanitarian project management (previous Grants, Program Manager, Program Coordinator or equivalent position).

You have an experience within an international humanitarian or development organization.

You have an experience in project cycle and team management.

You have knowledge of all or part of ACF sectors of intervention: Nutrition & Health, WASH, FSL, Emergency response, MHPSS-GP.

You have strong experience in partners' engagement

A current or previous experience with Action Against Hunger (ACF) would be an asset.

You are fluent in English / Able to speak Portuguese (if Portuguese is not a language yet mastered, commits to learn during the mission - a good level in Spanish or Italian is a plus).

Vos conditions d’emploi

National applications :

• 12-months contract according to the internal and national salary conditions of ACF in Mozambique.

International applications :

• Fixed term contract under French legislation: 12 months
• Monthly gross salary from 2597 to 2968€ upon experience, including 13th month
• Reimbursement of the pension insurance for non-French citizens: 16% of the gross monthly salary
• Annual salary increase: 6% increase after and each 12 months of continuous contract
• Monthly per diem and living allowance: 839€ net, field paid
• Monthly country allowance: 450€
• Child allowance: 1500€ per year per child present in the country of origin (maximum 6000€/year)
• Transportation and accommodation: Coverage of transportation costs and guest house
• Medical coverage: ACF covers 100% of the health and repatriation insurance agreement fees, for your medical expenses, and up to 1 month after the end of your contract.
• Salary sustainment measures (sickness, paternity, maternity)
• Leaves and RnR: 25 days of paid leaves per year, 20 RnR per year, airfare reimbursement with a ceiling to get to the chosen break destination, and 215 € for each RnR period

Pourquoi nous rejoindre ?

The Mozambique Country Office is currently implementing activities in several districts of Cabo Delgado Province, while having the ambition to expand to other Provinces. The current programs include both humanitarian and development actions. In Mueda, the stability of the context enables the implement of nexus/development projects. The Mueda field office is relatively stable in terms of financing and may see a renewal of projects in the coming months.
